| Below are short videos showing how muscles can cause pain and refer that pain to surrounding areas. The red dot in each of the muscles is a trigger point and the yellow and orange represent locations where pain can be referred to. Hence when individuals report pain in the ear, the ear may not actually be the source of pain. We deal with the muscles and when they are relaxed and at rest, they stop hurting (and so do all the areas they refer pain to). | |
