Crown Lenghtening

Before placing a crown, filling, or veneer Dr. Sutter may recommend crown lengthening. Crown lengthening involves removing some gum tissue to expose more tooth structure and make room for a crown, veneer, or a filling below the gum line. Oftentimes a broken tooth or a tooth with decay beneath an existing restoration will require crown lengthening prior to a new restoration.

Gum tissue will naturally heal and regenerate after the procedure. With modern dental instruments and sedation options, Dr. Sutter can perform crown lengthening quickly and comfortably. He offers this service so that you will not need to visit a periodontist.
